How billing works
BaseCommand designs · agent.ai runs and bills
Your subscription is hosted on agent.ai — the platform layer for AI agents in the HubSpot ecosystem, founded by HubSpot co-founder Dharmesh Shah. One flat invoice from agent.ai covers every agent in your plan.
Step 1
Subscribe through agent.ai
Checkout flows through agent.ai. They handle the payment processor, OAuth, and billing portal. Your invoice and receipts come from agent.ai, not BaseCommand.
Step 2
Your portal connects to your HubSpot
Each agent run pulls live from your HubSpot via OAuth. No data warehouse, no migration. Read-only by default; the few writeback agents are explicit and opt-in.
Step 3
Manage or cancel from agent.ai
Update payment, change plans, or cancel from your agent.ai account. Month-to-month — no contracts on the standard offering.
Fair-use limits
Sized for renewal builders and small teams
Flat pricing only works if usage stays roughly in the shape of a normal renewal motion. Here's what we mean by that — and what happens at the edges.
Watched accounts
Up to ~200 per seat
Most CSMs actively manage 50–200 accounts even on books of thousands. Watched accounts get the full agent attention — health, expansion, renewal prep — and shape your fair-use envelope.
Agent runs
Generous monthly pool
Run agents as often as a normal renewal motion needs them — daily digests, prep briefs before each call, weekly hygiene sweeps. We size the limits for individual builders and small teams, not enterprise volume.
HubSpot pulls
No throttling on your end
Each run pulls fresh from your HubSpot via OAuth — we don't cache or warehouse data. The fair-use limit is on agent runs, not on records read.
Heads-up before any cap
No surprise overages
If your usage approaches the fair-use threshold we reach out ahead of time. You'll never get a metered bill or a mid-quarter cutoff.
Unusually large setups
Big book? Multi-portal? Custom limits? Talk to us.
Standard pricing is built for individual renewal builders and small teams. If your setup looks materially different — multi-portal HubSpot, SSO requirements, books that exceed normal watched-account counts, or run volumes well above a normal motion — there's an enterprise conversation to have.
- Multi-portal HubSpot — one subscription that spans several portals
- SSO & security review — SAML/OIDC, sandbox-evaluation path
- Custom fair-use envelope — sized to your watched-account count and run cadence
- Annual terms & invoicing — net-30, PO-based billing
An enterprise conversation doesn't change your founder rate on the standard offering.
Pricing questions
Who am I paying — BaseCommand or agent.ai?
agent.ai. We design the agents; agent.ai runs them and bills the subscription. Founded by HubSpot co-founder Dharmesh Shah, agent.ai is the platform layer for AI agents in the HubSpot ecosystem. Your invoice comes from agent.ai; you can manage your subscription from your agent.ai account.
Why flat pricing instead of per-token?
Per-token bills make AI tools impossible to budget for. The #1 frustration we hear is "we ran our usage and got a $400 surprise." Flat monthly pricing lets you run the agents as often as your motion needs without watching a meter.
What counts toward fair-use?
Agent runs — each time you trigger an agent or it fires on schedule. Reading HubSpot records, generating outputs, and rendering reports in the Suite are all part of one run. We size the limits for normal renewal-motion cadence (daily digests, weekly sweeps, per-call prep). If your motion looks dramatically different, talk to us.
I signed up at founder pricing. Does anything change later?
You lock the founder rate at signup. When standard pricing rolls out for new customers, founders aren't auto-migrated to the new tier — you continue at the rate you signed up at. If our cost structure shifts in the future, we'll give founders advance notice and the choice to decide before any change takes effect.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Subscriptions are managed on agent.ai — month-to-month, cancel from your agent.ai account in two clicks.
Do I need HubSpot Pro or Enterprise?
No. Every agent works on Free, Starter, Pro, and Enterprise. We read your HubSpot via the standard API — no premium tier required.
